1/144 scale decal and resin conversion for Royal Australian Air Force Boeing 707 tanker/VIP transport.
This item is a CONVERSION set. A model kit is NOT included.
RAAF B707s were fitted with an Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) tanker conversion. The modification involved the installation of underwing pods for hose and drogue equipment and a ventral TV camera housing for monitoring air to air refullling operations. This conversion set includes these parts in resin.
The decals provide markings for a selection of high viz "VIP" scheme and low viz "tactical grey" and include:
* Serials A20-261 and A20-624 for the low visibility gray scheme.
* 33 Squadron tail logo - low viz.
* Serials A20-623, A20-627 and A20-629 for the VIP scheme.
* Aircraft names:
'Clarendon' (A20-623)
'Windsor Town' (A20-627)
'City of Sydney' (A20-629)
* Over-Wing exit escape guides,
* Cheatlines with 'printed on' cabin windows for the VIP scheme
* Separately printed windows for the grey scheme,
* National roundel insignia (high and low viz).
* Cabin doors.
* Pratt & Whitney engine logos.
* Some minor stencil data.
* (You can complete two 707 models from this set....one in tanker configuration and one without. Aircraft in either scheme were often seen without the tanker configuration.)
